I acknowledge that sailing is an activity that has inherent risks of damage and injury. As a competitor, I acknowledge that my participation is entirely at my own risk and the decision to start or continue in a race is solely my responsibility.
By participating in these events, I agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the race committee, Mimico Cruising Club (MCC), their agents, servants, officers, directors, members of MCC, and every other official involved with these events from any and all liability or claims, demands, actions, or causes of actions that may arise or be associated with my participation in these events, including but not limited to any and all claims arising out of personal or bodily injury, illness, death, or property damage suffered by myself or my crew as a result of participation in these events. I further understand and agree that this release, waiver, and indemnity is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, and assigns.
I further agree that I have reviewed and agree to abide by the MCC Concussion Policy materials available on the MCC website. I acknowledge as a Person in Charge/Skipper/owner of the boat registered that I and my crew are responsible for adhering to the Concussion Codes of Conduct for both participants and leaders, and removal from Sport Protocols, as defined in the MCC Concussion Policy.
I further agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules including those in the Notice of Race (NOR) and any and all amendments to the (NOR) that govern these events, including all COVID-19 regulations in effect at the time of these events.
By participating in these events, I and all persons in my care as skipper/owner/participant/person in charge confirm acceptance of this entire document. |
