Mimico Cruising Club: Where Passion Meets Racing on the Waters

At Mimico Cruising Club, we have a deep-rooted passion for racing, and we're proud to offer a range of racing events throughout the season. Our members participate in a variety of regional races and regattas, including Lake Ontario offshore racing events, the AHMEN series, and the New Race to Kingston.

Our weekly Wednesday night club racing events are a highlight of the season, running from mid-May through to mid-September. We partner with our neighboring Etobicoke Yacht Club (EYC) for weekend racing events, accommodating all levels of skill, from beginner to advanced. Our racing events include several classes of boats, ensuring that everyone can participate and have fun.

As a member of the Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) for Lake Ontario, our racing events are recognized on the lake for providing premium race events both on and off the water. Our race committee is dedicated to ensuring that every event is well organized and executed, and we take pride in assisting other clubs open regattas and supporting local youth sailing events and regattas.

Wednesday Night Racing is not just about the race, it's also about the camaraderie and social aspect that comes with it. The night includes a "Sailors’ Special" meal and social in the Dining Room, following the racing and the announcement of the evening's results and other recent lake racing results.
