SAILING

FRIDAY NIGHT BBQ DINNER AND THE MIMICO JAM BAND: Known around the lake, this dinner dance with TED MAJOR'S Mimico Club jazz band is well-attended by visitors and members.

ANNUAL CLUB SAILPAST: The Sailing Season Opening Event is the traditional "Sailpast and Commodore's Fleet Review" followed by a fun-filled reception on the patio. An important June event for all members with live entertainment provided by a variety of bands, to accompany the complimentary patio reception .

CRUISING: Each summer under the leadership of the Cruising Director and committee, planned  week‑end cruises are open to all members. This programme varies from year to year, but highlights are the Saturday Night Cruisers' Cocktail Party. Destinations include Port Dalhousie, Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake, Fifty Mile Point,  Newport (Stony Creek), Bluffers' Park and Wilson N.Y. Informally organized summer cruises to the 1000 Islands are popular .

SAILING SCHOOL/JUNIOR PROGRAMME:  With Humber College's outstanding Sailing School next door we do not have the need for running a sailing  school. Their excellent facilities provide courses in sailing for adults and children. A discount for some courses (tax receipt) is available to M.C.C. members.

CLUB HOUSE SEMINARS: During the winter and spring, safety and boating seminars are held covering such topics as: CPR, Man Overboard retrieval, VHF radio operator's license, Toronto Harbour License, Rules of the Road. Illustrated sailing adventure programmes by and for members are sponsored from time to time.

CRUISING

Each summer, the Club runs cruising weekends which are open to all of our members. The programme varies from year to year, but we usually have three to four weekends away. A highlight of each cruising weekend is the Saturday night cocktail party. Typical destinations include Port Dalhousie, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Fifty Mile Point, Bluffers Park and Wilson N.Y.
